North East Region ready for Regional delegates conference-Seth Panwum Boyoyo

The North East Region is set to hold its Regional Delegates Conference on Saturday May 18.

Secretary to the North East Regional elections committee, Hon. Seth Panwum, popularly known as Boyoyo told BestNewsGH.com while on his way to the region a while ago that everything has been put in place to ensure a smooth and successful election.

According to him, security and other arrangements have been made to allow for an incident free event.

“We have 35 aspirants vying for the nine positions that are up for grabs. The most contested is the Regional Youth Organiser position which is being contested by 8 people” he said.

Mr. Panwum opined that the Committee has put in place mechanisms that will ensure a free, fair and transparent elections.

“We want to ensure that those that will be elected are elected on merit and that they represent the choice of the people. That way we can have a vibrant and strong party on the ground to prosecute the agenda for victory for the President and the NPP. So we’re not taking any chances at all. We want the entire process to be as transparent as possible” he averred.

He added that as part of measures to ensure a smooth and incident-free event, entry into the auditorium for the elections will be restricted to only accredited persons.

He added the elections will be supervised by officials from the Electoral Commission.
