The campaign team of one of the aspirants of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate position, John Dramani Maham has rebuffed reports that an amount of 265 thousand Ghana cedis has disappeared from donations that were made by the public to the campaign.

A statement issued a while ago by spokesperson to the John Mahama 2020 Campaign, James Agyenim Boateng said the publication is false and a figment of the imagination of the author.

‘’ It is the work of fake news entrepreneurs and their political paymasters who have been dazed by the huge momentum built across the country by the campaign of former president John Dramani Mahama’’ the statement said in part.

The statement continued that ‘’for the avoidance of doubt, no money paid to legitimate fundraising platforms launched by the campaign has disappeared. Again, all donations received by the team will be accounted for and put to judicious use’’.
