The Ga Dangbe Youth for Professor Joshua Alabi, a pressure group dedicated to campaigning for the election of NDC presidential candidate hopeful Professor Joshua Alabi have mounted a strong and spirited defense for their call on why the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) must elect their boss to lead the party into the 2020 general elections.

‘’We have NDC strongholds like the Volta Region, Central Region and the Northern Region and they have all had presidential candidates. We in the Greater Accra Region have never had a presidential candidate before and this is our time. And we are saying this because the grounds is good for him’’ the group said.

According to them, they must not be misconstrued to be playing the tribal card or tribal politics per their call for the former Vice Chancellor of the University for Professional Studies to be elected NDC flagbearer.

The group says their campaigns on the grounds in the various constituencies across the country is indicative of the fact that the grounds are fertile for a Ga presidential candidate in the NDC and that it is ample testimony that Professor Joshua Alabi is presently the most sought after politician within the NDC.

‘’We need a very experienced person who has a track record and has been tried and tested and can deliver victory to the NDC in the 2020 elections. And that person is no other than Professor Joshua Alabi. We are not playing the tribal card, but we think that this is his moment to take the NDC to the Promised land’’

The NDC will be electing its presidential candidate for the 2020 general elections on the 23rd of February 2019.
