Brong Ahafo Vice Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye DC has said the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a bunch of contradictions when it comes to their commentary on the power sector.

He cited former deputy Minister for energy in the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama era, John Jinapor who has indicated the NDC completely resolved the dumsor issue before exiting power, adding that Mr. Jinapor in another instance said they were about to resolve it when they were voted out of power.

Abronye DC said there are records to show that Mr. Jinapor had admitted two months to the 2016 general elections that the dumsor situation had more to do with money than technical issues.

He cites a story on myjoyonline.com to buttress his point.

‘’You also recall that when the former energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko went to parliament on the energy sector issue, this same John Jinapor said and it is on record that they were about resolving the dumsor issue when they were voted out of power and that the NPP and Boakye Agyarko should come and beg them (NDC) to tell them how to resolve it. So is this a party or government that was able to resolve the dumsor matter? He quizzed.

In his estimation, the previous NDC government is to blame for the challenges being faced in the power sector and must stop creating the impression as though all was rosy during their time.
