Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) strong man, Dela Coffie has ridiculed the party, saying they have no right to demand a credible voters register from the Electoral Commission.

According to him, the NDC has not been able to compile a common and simple credible database for its membership and has therefore lost the moral right to demand a credible voters register from the Electoral Commission.

‘’The last time I checked, the parliamentary primaries the NDC held in 2015 had a voter’s register with photo IDs. Yes, the register had the photo of every voter. And so why can’t we do same for the presidential primaries? Isn’t it shameful to note that the NDC can’t compile a simple credible database of its membership and yet demanding credible voter’s register from the Electoral Commission?’’ he quizzed.

He added ‘’and instead of us expressing our collective outrage at the incompetence of our leaders, we are rather berating the six flagbearer aspirants who are demanding that these anomalies and undemocratic tendencies be corrected. Clearly leadership is playing games of smoke and mirrors yet again in a desperate attempt to rig the elections for John Mahama’’.
