The Chief Executive Officer of Gold Trading firm, Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah and all Directors of the Company have been declared wanted by the Ghana Police Service.
This follows the issuance by the Supreme Court in Accra of an arrest warrant for the arrest of the company’s top officials no matter where they are.
The Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, Maame Tiwaa Addo Dankwa speaking on Accra based Asempa Fm a while ago opined that the arrest warrant was secured with the intervention of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Nana Appiah Mensah has been accused of defrauding by false presences.
‘’We started investigating this case for some time now and now we are aware that Nana Appiah Mensah is not in Ghana. So we have issued the warrant and initiated the process. Interpol will look at the reasons why we have declared him wanted and they will inform all the member states to be on the lookout for him’’ she said.
The CID boss added that the Interpol is supposed to arrest and extradite the beleaguered Menzgold boss to the country in order for him to face the law.
