MTN and DEXT donates science equipment to schools in Eastern Region

The Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN) in collaboration with DEXT Science Set has presented 145 Science equipment to various schools in the Eastern Region.

The schools include the Lower Manya Krobo – Odumasi Kojonya Millennium Presby Kindergarten and primary schools as well as the Asikusu Methodist Basic School all in the upper West Akim District of the Eastern region.

The gesture is to ensure the inculcation of science at the basic level of education and to encourage the students to take science education seriously.

Caleb Fugah, Chief Marketing Officer for Dext Science Set in a speech stressed that the company will continue to provide the necessary support for the schools to enhance teaching and learning as part of their contribution towards the development of the nation.

Mr. Ebenezer Terkper of MTN on his part encouraged the students to take their studies seriously and work hard at becoming responsible citizens and future leaders.

The Assistant headmaster of the Odumase  Kojo Yaa Millennium Presbyterian  School, John Djabanor and the Headmaster of Asikasu Methodist school who welcomed the MTN and DEXT team expressed their gratitude to the two companies for the gesture and support.

They appealed for more support from the two companies and other public spirited companies and individuals to enable them give the best of training to the students.
