Gold trading firm Menzgold has asked all staff member of the company to proceed on leave with the exclusion of branch managers who have been directed to report at the company’s head office in Dzorwulu in what it describes as transfers.
The staff are expected to begin their leave from the 10th of December 2018 and resume on 20th December 2018 when all entitlements including end of year packages shall be fully disbursed.
A statement issued by the company and signed by its Chief Executive Officer, Nana Appiah Mensah said the decision has been reached as a result of the incessant security threats from customers on the lives and properties of the company, which makes it difficult for operations to continue.
The statement entreated all staff to remain calm and continue to keep faith with the company and that they should not panic about their jobs, as they remain secure.
