Group Chairman of the McDan Group, Dr. Daniel McKorley has emerged the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Businessman of the year 2017.
Dr. McKorley is currently the reigning Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Marketing Man of the year, having won the award in September this year.
The second in the series, the Chamber Business Awards took place on November 17, 2018, at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel under the theme: ‘EMPOWERING THE PRIVATE SECTOR TO MOVE GHANA BEYOND AID’.
Dr. McKorley has won countless prestigious awards both locally and internationally for his business acumen, transformational leadership and his prowess in entrepreneurship.
He is currently mentoring hundreds of Ghanaian youth on entrepreneurship through the 2018 edition of the McDan Entrepreneurship Challenge and will spend a whopping 100 thousand dollars on winners of the challenge to enable them establish start-ups.
Earlier this year, the GCCI launched the second edition of The Chamber Business Awards aimed at celebrating the finest Ghanaian businesses that have demonstrated excellence in leadership and innovation in contributing to the socio-economic development of Ghana.
It is also aimed at recognizing projects and individual achievements that distinguish their businesses from competitors by producing clear value and compelling results.
The awards ceremony also aspires to congregate and acknowledge the achievements of astute business players of both local and international businesses that promote the business and industry sector in Ghana.
