Host of Good Evening Ghana on Accra based Metropolitan Television (Metro TV) Lawyer Paul Adom Otchere has described recent allegations against him by investigative Journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni, as a figment of his own imagination.

According Mr. Adom Otchere, Mr. Awuni has no basis whatsoever to try to assassinate his character by accusing him of telling lies against him.

Mr. Awuni has been in the headlines over the last few days, accusing Mr. Adom Otchere of telling what he says is a 100, 000 dollar lie against him.

This was after Mr. Adom Otchere has called the bluff of Dr. Zanetor Rawlings who is the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korley Constituency for accusing the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of distributing food to the poor and vulnerable on partisan basis, during the lockdown.

But rubbishing the allegations by Mr. Awuni on Good Evening Ghana on Tuesday, April 21,2020 and monitored by BestNewsGH.com, Lawyer Adom Otchere opined that Mr. Awuni was invited for a meeting with the leadership of the Jospong Group during the time he (Manasseh) was reporting on some allegations against the group.

BestNewsGH.com reports Mr. Adom Otchere as explaining that he was called together with some other people to join the meeting, explaining that when Mr. Awuni was ushered into the meeting, he requested to meet only the Chief Executive and Chairman of the Jospong Group, Mr. Siaw Agyapong, a request which was granted.

He said after the meeting, it came out that Mr. Awuni had made a demand of some amount of money, the figure of which has become the center of confusion. While Mr. Awuni says Mr. Adom Otchere told one of his former colleagues at the Multimedia Group that he demanded 100, 000 dollars, Mr. Adom Otchere insists he did not mention the figure, but indeed had the discussion with the said colleague.
