A 42 year old man, known as Daniel Kwame Baah has been handed a 20 year jail term for impregnating his own 14 year old daughter.
BestNewsGH.com is informed an Accra Circuit Court handed the suspect, a trader the sentence on Monday, February 24 2020, after he pleaded guilty to defilement and incest.
The trial judge, Christiana Cann deferred the sentencing until yesterday.
The convict is said to have forcibly had canal knowledge of his daughter and has abused her on multiple occasions.
The victim is the first of five children and began having the nasty encounter with his father since June 2019, when the convict began inserting his fingers into her private part while she slept.
BestNewsGH.com is told he then began having sex with her and continued to abuse her until she got pregnant.
Luck however eluded him when a Girl Child advocate attached to the Anyaa L/A Primary School spotted the victim who was then pregnant in school uniform and questioned her.
She narrated the issue to the Girl Child advocate who reported the matter to the police, leading to the arrest of the convict.
The convict was sentenced to 20 years in hard labour for each count, which sentences will run concurrently.
