Lydia Alhassan is unmatched in Ayawaso West, she’s a big asset to the NPP-Omari Wadie

First National Vice Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Omari Wadie has described the widow of the fallen Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, Lydia Alhassan as a true party person whose dedication and commitment to the party is unmatched.

According to him, Lydia Alhassan who is the ruling party’s parliamentary candidate for the upcoming by-election in the constituency is an asset to the constituency, regional and the national party whose exploits in the constituency cannot be overlooked.

Speaking on an Accra based radio station, Mr. Wadie said Mama Lydia, as Madam Lydia Alhassan is popularly known has over the years cultivated a cordial and affectionate relationship with the people of the constituency, adding that her relationship permeates all the divides in the constituency.

Mr. Omari Wadie said Madam Lydia Alhassan was the main force holding the party together in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency when her husband, the late Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko was alive, explaining that it was based on her motherly traits and her love for the people of the constituency that made the party executives persuade her to step into the shoes of her late husband by contesting the seat.

He expressed confidence that Mama Lydia will receive an overwhelming endorsement from the constituents on January 31 2019 when the by-election takes place.

The Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election has been occasioned by the death of the MP for the constituency, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko who passed on while receiving treatment in America for an unknown ailment.
