A landlord who shot and killed his tenant at Ofankor in the Ga East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region has been arrested by the police.

The landlord, Nana Kankam is said to have opened fire on the young tenant, who has been described as a promising up and coming musician, for failing to pack out of his house.

The deceased named Kobby, according to BestNewsGH.com sources was said to have refused to pack out, after the embattled landlord gave him less than 24 hours to do so.

Sister to deceased, Blessing Naana Ansah-Senkyire who broke the news on Facebook, said when Kobby was asked to leave the house, he informed the landlord that the notice was too short and that it was practically impossible to pack out the same day.

He therefore pleaded with the landlord to allow him leave the next day, a request which infuriated the landlord, culminating in the shooting incident which claimed the life of the budding musician.

Investigations are underway as the landlord continues to cool off in police custody.
