Just in: Police arrest 5 persons in connection with forceful removal of Krachi West DCE from office

Police in the Volta Region have arrested 5 persons in connection with the forceful removal from office of the District Chief Executive for the area.

They are being investigated for assault by imprisonment, offensive conduct, and causing unlawful damage among others.

The suspects are believed to be part of a group supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who forced Dauglas-Osei-Nti out of his office on May 27, 2019, accusing him of incompetence.
