Just in: Akufo-Addo assents to Public Holidays Amendment Act 2019

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has assented to the Public Holiday (Amendment) Act 2019, Act 989.

This was done on April 16, 2019.

A statement issued by the Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery said the country will celebrate Constitution Day on the 7th of January every year, Founder’ Day on the 4th of August and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day on the 21st of September every year.
