National Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku has expressed excitement about the election of Joshua Hamidu Akamba as the National Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the inspirational and dynamic National Organiser, he would have been extremely worried if the delegates had opted for Ahmed Baba Jamal or Yaw Boateng Gyan, who both contested the slot and lost to Mr. Akamba.

Mr. Awuku said his task of mobilizing and galvanizing the party’s members, supporters and sympathizers across the country for victory for the NPP in the 2020 general elections has been made easier with Mr. Akamba as his counterpart on the other side of the political divide.

‘’I cannot do a post mortem of the NDC elections on radio because whatever faults I find with them, I have use that strategically against them in 2020. So divulging such information will amount to revealing and exposing my arsenal to our opponents. But we welcome the new set of executives into our political and democratic space with the hope that they will come and contribute to the development and enhancement of our political discourse. But with regards to the national organiser, I would have been extremely worried if I had had Baba Jamal or Yaw Boateng Gyan, I would have been very worried but with the current one, we welcome them and I am extremely happy’’ he said on Accra based okay Fm .
