Opposition National Democratic Congress Flagbearer hopeful, Professor Joshua Alabi has promised to institute measures that will ensure that the party generates income and become self-sufficient financially, so that no rich individual or group of individuals can hijack it.

Professor Alabi says he will begin by first opening bank accounts for all the party constituency offices across the country and also ensure that they have money making ventures that will generate revenue to service the account and to help run the offices.

In his estimation, this will go a long way to quell the trend where some individuals or groups in the party tend to hijack, control and treat the party as though it was their personal property.

According to him, the overall objective is to give members of the party a sense of belonging and to make them feel they own the party and not as people who are meant to play second fiddle to the rich in the party.

That aside, the former Vice Chancellor of the University for Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has promised to offer quality leadership to the party should he emerge victorious in the flagbearership race and eventually lead the party into the 2020 elections.
