Member of the pro-opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) vigilante group, the Hawks, Rock has openly confessed that he was the one that was contracted some time ago by a certain woman to assassinate someone.

According to him, he out rightly rejected the said woman’s deal because he is not a bad person and doesn’t engage in nefarious and illegal activities

Rock who has since turned himself in, to the police in Kumasi said he has been at the forefront of brokering peace between various disputing factions and therefore cannot engage in a dastardly act such as killing someone.

‘’Some time ago you would have heard that a certain woman contracted someone to go and assassinate somebody. I was the one she contracted and if I were a bad person I would have patronized and obliged her. But I refused. And if you come to Ahwea, the dispute that erupted there, I was the one that championed the peace process and organized a peace match in which Yaa Asante line and Zongo took part, with the attendance of officials of the National Peace Council . So how can they rope me into such a matter?’’ he quizzed on Accra based okay Fm.

According to him, even though he is a member of the group and was present with his colleagues, he left to buy fried yam when the shooting incident took place at the NDC regional office in the Ashanti Regional Capital, Kumasi and that he did not commit the crime.

‘’I am surprised that the police has decided to add my picture and show it to the public as one of the wanted persons in connection with the NDC shooting incident. I am a law abiding person who owns a barbering shop and also help a company with its land survey works. So it beats my imagination that the police will put out my picture as a wanted person and soil my reputation. This incident happened in broad day light and everyone saw the one that committed the offence, so why are they doing this?’’ he quizzed.
