‘’I served Ghana as player and coach and I’m proud of what I achieved”-Kwasi Appiah thanks Ghanaians

The immediate past coach of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars, Kwasi Appiah has indicated he served the country with pride both as a player and a coach.

According to him, he laid a strong foundation together with his backroom staff to ensure the success of the football game in the country.

‘’Through the years I was in charge, I worked with my backroom staff to lay the strong foundation required for others to build on, towards a better a future and success for the team’’ he said in a thank you letter following the expiration of his contract on December 31, 2019.

CK Akunnor has since been appointed as the new coach of the Black Stars.

Authored on January 5, 2020, the ‘thank you Ghana’ statement which is in the possession of BestNewsGH.com also saw Mr. Kwasi Appiah thanking the players and entreating them to continue to fight on the pitch to make Ghana proud.
