Ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has praised the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) minority in Parliament for fighting some agreements that government tabled for passage in the legislature but received stiff opposition from the minority.

The vociferous MP named the drones for medical deliveries, the Sinohydro and the recent Norway Chancery deals which hasve been rejected and vehemently fought by the minority as deals that were bad for the country, saying the minority must be commended for fiercely resisting them.

‘’I have always said that Ghana first. I am impressed and happy with the minority NDC for resisting these three deals. They have proven to be a worthy opposition, because that is how a good opposition must checkmate government’’ he said on Accra based Adom Television’s Badwam programme, Tuesday, December 18, 2018.

Mr. Agyapong is of the view that Ghanaians must hold the government and politicians accountable to ensure that they don’t unnecessarily drain the national coffers through corruption and other bad governance practices.
