Health alert: Chinese drugs and capsules containing human remains with Hepatitis B virus discovered

The Ghana Revenue Authority is alerting the general public about the discovery and seizure of some drugs and capsules that has been exported by Chinese Nationals to South Korea and which contains human parts including foetuses, infants and flesh.

Some of the drugs according to the a GRA memorandum signed by Seidu Iddrisu, the Deputy Commissioner of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority in charge of preventive ,are found to contain the hepatitis B virus which poses serious health risks to the country.

It said some 2,751 of the drugs and capsules have been seized by the South Korean Customs Service.
