GRA to auction of overstayed goods and vehicles at the Tema port at 10 am today

As part of efforts to mop-up revenue before the end of the year and in accordance with Sections 93 (1) and 59 (2) of the Customs Act, 2015  (Act 891) which mandate the Commissioner-General to AUCTION OVERSTAYED GOODS AND FORFEITED VEHICLES, the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Customs Division will auction vehicles and general goods at the Tema Collection.

The auction will take place in three locations namely, the State warehouse at the Golden Jubilee terminal, the Atlas terminal and the Safebond car park today 27th and tomorrow 28th of December 2018, at 10am.

A statement issued by the Commissioner General of the Ghana Revenue Authority a while ago said ‘’the auction will be on a CASH DOWN BASIS.  The General public is respectfully invited to the auction’’.

It Continued ‘’GRA expects the cooperation and understanding of the public to ensure the success of this auction. The GRA wishes all our stakeholders, taxpayers and the general public the best of the season’’.
