Government has presented 442 brand new motor bikes to the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council for onward distribution to Assembly Members in the in the Region.
The Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, Amidu Chinnia who presented the Motorbikes to the dean of presiding Members in the region, said each of the 442 Assembly Members in the region was entitled to one motorbike to aid in their day to activities as they commute from one point to the other.
He said the presentation was in line with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s vision of strengthening decentralization in the country.
‘’This presentation is in line with the president vision of strengthening decentralization in the country’’ he said.
The Deputy Minister used the occasion to appeal to the beneficiaries to make good use of the motorbikes and cultivate a good maintenance culture to ensure that they last, adding that the motorbikes are to aid them to be more efficient in the discharge of their duties.
