Gov’t announces counter-terrorism exercise for security agencies on Friday 30th November 2018

Government has announced a counter-terrorism exercise for security agencies within the Accra-Tema Metropolis on Friday November 30, 2018.

The objective of the exercise which is dubbed ‘Ex Home Shield’ is to practice and harness the various roles and expertise of all stakeholders in the National counter-terrorism effort ( NCTE) and also test their preparedness in the event of any terrorist attack.

A statement issued by the Ministry of National Security announcing the exercise and signed by Commissioner of Police (COP) George Asiamah retired, the Director of counter terrorism at the Ministry said participants of the exercise will include Ghana Armed Forces, the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority among others.
