Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie otherwise known as Sir John says contrary to assertions and claims by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the Christmas is dry as a result of hardship in the country, this years’ ex-mas is the best ever to be celebrated by Ghanaians in long while now.

According to him, nightlife has picked up and there are signs of enjoyment and merry making all over the place.

‘’The other day I was sleeping and I received a call from some ladies and they asked where I was, and I told them I was in bed and they said they were now preparing to leave the house to go and enjoy. There is enjoyment all over the place and night life has never been this good. This Christmas is the best in a while’’ he said on Accra based United Television and monitored by BestNewsGH.com

He said through God’s help, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been able to turn things around to ensure that the living standards of Ghanaians improve.

The former General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) implored Ghanaians who are well to do to lend a hand of support to the less fortunate ones in society and carry them along in the celebration to ensure that everyone is happy in the season.

‘’I want to plead with my brothers and sisters who are fortunate not to forget the less fortunate ones, but endeavor to share with them and support them during this period so that we can all have a good celebration’’ he added.
