Ghanaian Students in Morroco thanks Akufo-Addo for payment of their allowances-says he is their messiah

 Leadership of Ghanaian students in Morocco have expressed profound gratitude to President Akufo Addo’s NPP government for facilitating the payment of their allowances which were in arrears for nine months and restoring the promptness in the payment of their allowances since he (President Akufo Addo) assumed office.

This came to the fore when Ghana’s Ambassador to Morocco, H.E Stephen Yakubu and the National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) with his delegation engaged the Ghanaian Students Association in Morocco (GHASAM).

President of the Ghanaian students association in Morocco (GHASAM), Mr. Asante Boadi Junior also commended the Scholarship Secretariat under the leadership of Mr. Kingsley Aboagye and Lydia Darko for placing much focus on international students and making their welfare a top priority.

He said “ the swift facilitation by government regarding the payment of our nine month arrears under the previous government liberated us from a lot of hardships we faced as foreign students”.

Mr. Asante Boadi jnr. Added that “there are about 210 Ghanaian students under various Government scholarships in various Universities and some students had even threatened to abandon the program and return to Ghana due to the harsh living conditions.

Mr. Asante Boadi again expressed his appreciation on behalf of the students to the President for posting H.E. Amb. Stephen Yakubu to Morocco and described the Ambassador as a ‘true father’. He commended H. E Stephen Yakubu for his tremendous support.

Nana Boakye was in the Moroccan city of Rabat – leading a seven member Ghanaian delegation to the IYDU’s ‘freedom forum’.

The seven member delegation led by Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) included; Aziz Futa (Nasara Cordinator), Amma Frimpomaa Dwumah (Member, Young Appointees Forum), Mohammed Alhassan (Youth Organizer Northern Region), Abubakari Braimah (Constituency youth organizer, Ablekuma North), Nana Asafo-Adjei Ayeh ( Administrator, National Youth Wing) , David Nkansa Anto (Administrator, IYDU-GHANA).
