Kwame Asare Obeng also known as Kwame A-Plus has revealed that ruling New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region, Kennedy Ohene Agypapong called him to intervene in the matter of the Ghana Maritime Authority ‘chop chop’ in which the director General, Kwame Owusu is accused of sanctioning the spending of some 10 thousand Ghana Cedis on lunch for a meeting in his own hotel.

According to the musician turned anti-corruption crusader, the MP called him and asked to him to back off the matter because the Maritime Authority boss was his man and that he should go mute on the matter.

Kwame A-Plus said on an Accra based radio station that he told the MP cum businessman that he doesn’t even know the Director General in question and that he was only doing his duty as a citizen of the country.

According to him, it was incumbent on every Ghanaian to ensure that corruption is nabbed in the bud and that public officials are held accountable and to expose such officials.

He opined that he was unfazed about threats by the Director General to sue him in court, adding that such a threat was not new to him.
