Ghana and the United Nations Office for Project Services have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (UNOPS) for the construction of a 100 thousand affordable housing units in the country.
The move is part of government’s efforts at bridging the housing deficit in the country.
The signing ceremony took place on the fringes of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York.
It was witnessed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who also held bilateral discussions with his colleague presidents on various topics of mutual interest.
The President also delivered at the Yale University, a paper on ‘’Democracy and Development in Africa’’.
