GHAMRO to share GH¢900,000.00 royalties to musicians starting from 30th June 2019

The Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) is set to disburse royalties to musicians and other music right owners this June.

In a press release, the organization says it will disburse a total of Nine Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (¢900,000.00).

Disbursement of the money will commence on Sunday, June 30, 2019.

The amounts were realised from government’s Blank Levy which amounted to ¢578,089.31, Royalties Collection totalling ¢299,990.69 and ¢21,920.00 made from interest on investments.

The release also noted that the amount has increased by ¢200,000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis) as compared to last year’s.

Right owners shall receive payments via the usual channels such as Mobile Money Transfers, Bank Transfers and over the Counter payments (Cheque).

GHAMRO has also advised members who have not updated their bank/payment details with the organization to come over to their office to do so.
