Former IGP Peter Nanfuri passes on

Mr. Peter Nanfuri, a former Inspector General of Police (IGP) during the era of late President Jerry John Rawlings  has passed on at the age of 80.

Peter Tenganabang Nanfuri was an iconic IGP in his time and distinguished himself to the admiration of many. Until his death on Friday February 17, 2023, he was the Paramount Chief of the Jirapa Traditional Area under the stool name of Naa Ansoleh Ganaa II.

He served as Inspector General of Police in Ghana from October 1, 1996 to January 21, 2001.

Though the cause of his death remain sketchy, BestNewsGH.com sources reveal he passed on after short ilness.
