Former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allottey Jacobs has alleged that all United States of America (USA) Ambassadors that have ever been posted to Ghana, past or present are Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Agents.
‘’Every US Ambassador posted to Ghana is a CIA Agent for West Africa. I don’t know where she is coming from because she is the one that will feed the State Department about happenings in the country and how many Ghanaian are in America and how many are being deported and so on’’ he said on Accra based Adom Television in a discussion that centered on the current rift between the US and Ghana over the intended deportation of some 7 thousand Ghanaians to the country.
According to Mr. Allottey Jacobs, the US is using its powers to bully Ghana, explaining that government must engage the current US Ambassador to Ghana to iron out the issues in order to allow for an amicable resolution of the matter.
‘’We have not done anything wrong so far as our diplomatic relations with America is concerned and so there is more to it. That is why it is important for the Minister for Foreign Affairs and her team to institute measures to meet them and sort this matter out. The US is using its might to bully us, forgetting that they have some treaties with us. You don’t use your might to bully a small country like Ghana’’ he added.
