Self-styled anti corruption campaigner, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has been dragged to Court by a Tema based Businessman for failing to pay for a refrigerator he bought from him since 2017.
The writ of summons sighted by BestNewsGH.com states that the date for commencement of the hearing of the case is today, Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Tema District Court.
The facts of the case as captured in the writ of summons has it that, the defendant (A-Plus) bought a family hub refrigerator from the plaintiff, Mr. Richard Nana Amoako, the Chief Executive Officer of Freights Masters Company Limited, a Freight Forwarding firm in Tema on credit.
A-Plus was said to have bought the US$ 3,000 refrigerator on credit in July 2017 and has since failed to pay the amount, resulting in the suit against him, by the aggrieved plaintiff.
According to the court documents, A-Plus has persistently refused to pay the money, with incessant ‘stories’ anytime the defendant went to him to collect the money.
Things eventually turned sour when he made it categorically clear that he was not going to pay for the refrigerator.
