Deputy Upper West Regional Minister attacked by armed gang in Wa

The Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, has been attacked by unknown armed men near his residence in the Regional Capital, Wa.

BestNewsGH.com sources say machete wounds were inflicted on Mr. Amidu Issahaku Chinnia during the incident which occurred at 9 pm on Thursday, May 21, 2020.

The source indicate the armed attackers, riding on a motorbike attacked the Deputy Minister without provocation.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment following wounds he sustained in the attack, after he was rescued by police motorbike patrol officers.

The regional police command has confirmed the incident in a statement.

No arrests have been made yet.
