A deputy Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Francis Asenso Boakye has donated 20 hospital beds to the accident and burns centre at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.
The gesture according to Mr. Asenso Boakye is his contribution towards improving health infrastructure in the country and to help save lives, while helping to ensure effective and efficient healthcare delivery at Ghana’s second largest health facility.
According to him, he was encouraged by the assurance of the Chief Executive Officer of KATH, Dr. Oheneba Owusu-Danso that the beds will go a long way to enhance the delivery of quality healthcare by the hospital, which has been serving as a referral Center for Eight out of Ten regions in the country.
He also entreated other public spirited and well-meaning Ghanaians to lend their support in whatever way they can to help improve healthcare delivery in the country.
