A group by name Voices for Oti Region Diaspora has fired the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State and president of the National House of Chiefs, Togbe Afede, telling him to keep his well wishes and advice on the impending referendum that will pave way for the creation of the Oti Region to himself.

Togbe Afede who also doubles as President of the Asogli Traditional Council recently called for a successful referendum that will lead to the creation of the Oti Region which will be carved out of the Volta Region.

This comes after he had vehemently opposed the move to create the new region.

But the Voices for Oti Region Diaspora believe the revered traditional ruler is only pretending and doesn’t mean well for the new region.

They took to social media and wrote ‘’it is ironic for Torgbe Afede to utter these coded wordsmiths at this eleventh hour of the referendum after he had used all resources at his disposal to cause disaffection and confusion in order to stop the referendum on its tracks. Well, our answer to him, I believe, must be eternal vigilance for successful referendum’’.
