COVID-19: Nadowli-Kaleo NDC Parliamentary Candidate supports Health Directorate with logistics

The Parliamentary Candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency, Anthony Sumah has donated logistics to the District Health Directorate as his contribution towards the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

BestNewsGH.com is informed the donation is to be extended to all Health Centres and CHPS compounds across the District.

A state announcing the donation and signed by the NDC Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency Communications Officer, Sylvester Biekpe, listed some of the donated items as Veronica buckets, hand sanitizers as well as gallons of liquid soap to augment the enforcement of the preventive measures that the Directorate has put in place to prevent the spread of the disease.

The items were received by the District Director of Health, Fibi Balagmieteme.

The donation is the second to have been made by Mr. Sumah since the outbreak of the virus which has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation.

Earlier, the Parliamentary candidate had sponsored some sensitization and educational programmes on various radio stations in the District, creating awareness and urging people to adhere to precautionary measures as announced by authorities.

Meanwhile the Member of Parliament for the Constituency, the Rt. Hon. Alban Bagin had earlier made a cash donation to the District to support the COVID-19 fight.
