COVID-19: Ghana’s case count now 3,091; also the regional breakdown of figures

The number of novel coronavirus cases in Ghana has risen to 3,091, latest figures from the Ghana Health Service reveal.

This represents a jump of 372 new infections from the last update.

A new case detected in the Jaman North District makes Bono Region the 13th region to record a case.

The Service’s website also revealed 303 recoveries and 18 deaths as of May 7, 2020.

Regional breakdown

Greater Accra Region – 2,579

Ashanti Region – 165

Eastern Region – 95

Western North Region – 56

Central Region – 50

Western Region – 32

Volta Region – 30

Upper East Region – 26

Upper West Region – 19

Northern Region – 13

North East Region – 2

Bono Region – 1

Oti Region – 23

Savannah Region – 0

Ahafo Region – 0

Bono East Region – 0
