Coronavirus: Manhyia Palace suspends all major activities

The seat of the Golden Stool, the Manhyia Palace has suspended all major traditional activities in efforts aimed at helping to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

BestNewsGH.com can confirm that the Palace has also shut the Manhyia Palace Museum to both local and foreign visitors.

This website is informed that adjudication of cases and the performance of other public rituals in accordance with tradition will he done privately.

Baffour Osei Brantuo Hyiaman, the Mawerehene to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, made the announcement during a visit to some health facilities by the Health Committee of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.

The team which was led by the Mayor of Kumasi, Mr. Osei Assibey Antwi embarked on the tour to ascertain the preparedness of the various health facilities to respond to the coronavirus.
