COP George Dampare named new Inspector-General of Police

The Director-General incharge of administration at the Ghana Police Service, Commissioner of Police (COP) George Akuffo Dampare has been appointed the new Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

Information gathered by BestNewsGH.com indicates that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuo-Addo will be making an official announcement of the appointment soon.

Mr. Dampare is expected to start work on the 1st of August 2021, taking over from the current IGP, Mr. James Oppong Boanuh who is due for retirement.
