Former deputy communications Minister in the John Dramani Mahama era, Vicky Hammah has identified churches and drinking bars as the most flourishing enterprises in the country.

“Today if you turn at every corner, you count several churches and drinking bars. They are the most thriving businesses in the country. We really need to do something about it” she said on Accra based United Television and monitored by BestNewsGH.com

According to her, even though it is good to have churches grow and the private enterprises flourish, the most important thing that should engage the country in terms of the quest to develop is productivity.

“It you look at this phenomenon I believe it can’t help the country develop because if you look at the most advanced countries they focus on productivity and you don’t see these things there. We should focus on things that will help enhance and develop our society” she said.
