Christians urged to be upright

Bishop Emmanuel Ackun, Missions Director of the Victory Bible Church International, has urged Christians to let the values of Christianity reflect in their lives as worthy examples to others.

He also asked them to be careful what falls (statements) from their mouths because as followers of Jesus Christ they are expected to be light in the dark world.

Bishop Ackun gave the advise at Believers Christian Church in Accra during the Harvest and Ordination service for three newly ordained pastors.

He also advised them to desist from acts that are capable of denting their image.

He called on religious leaders to join the crusade to ensure environmental cleanliness.

Bishop Ackun challenged the newly ordained ministers to nurture the members of their respective congregations, win new souls and put in efforts to manage God’s creation.

He further advised them to continue to study the Bible and be prayerful in order to be successful in their sacred vocation.

Founder and General Overseer of Believers Christian Church, Rev E . K Asante said pastors and other clergymen should take their preaching with the seriousness it deserves.

Rev E. K Asante urged the congregation, to always work hard in their daily endeavors.

He said it is important for men and women of God to be loyal and self-disciplined in their call to working for the Almighty.

Rev E. K Asante added that pastors and other church leaders were an icon for the Church hence the need for them to lead by example.

A representative of the newly ordained ministers, Rev. Kumah pledged that they would not disappoint the church in the areas of practical evangelism, discipleship and in both the qualitative and quantitative growth of the church.
