The Bono Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, Popularly known as Abronye DC has taken a dig at customers of collapsed gold trading firm Menzgold, telling them to blame themselves for their inability to retrieve their locked up investments from the company.

According to him, the same customers who ridiculed the police and President Akufo-Addo and called for the release of Menzgold Chief Executive Officer, Nana Appiah Mensah from police custody when he was taken for investigations, cannot turn around and want to blame government for their inability to get their locked up investments from the firm.

He said “Have they forgotten they were the same people who strongly agitated against Ghana Police and the President through numerous demonstrations for Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM 1) to be released at the time when the government was going through the necessary procedures to get their monies retrieved from him?.’’

Abronye DC added that “He has been released and you are now calling on the government. Government is on the required procedures and you will soon hear the way forward as soon as the need arises.’’

He averred during an interview on Accra based UTV and monitored by BestNewsGH.com that the customers who so much believed in Nana Appiah Mensah and the fact that their investments were sitting in an account waiting for them, should go and claim their monies.
