‘’The virtues and ideals of peace, love and tolerance are true examples that remain very significant and relevant in our lives as a people and it is imperative that we hold on tight to these deeds. It is incumbent on us to look out for one another, live in peace with our neighbours and lend a hand of support to those who need it’’ Dr. McKorley said in a statement, wishing Muslims a happy Eid-Ul Fitr.

Dr. McKorley urged the generality of the Muslim community, particularly the youth to celebrate in moderation and be reminded by the fact that they lived a holy life during the 30 day fast, during which period they established a deep relationship with Allah, for which reason they will not want to go back to the old ways of doing things.

‘’You built a great and deep relationship with Allah during the 30 day period of fasting and it will be expedient for you to maintain that momentum and relationship in order that you continually draw and tap into his blessings’’ he added.

‘’In these times when our brothers and sisters up North in Chereponi, Saboba and surrounding areas are up in arms against each other, let us use this opportunity to call on Allah to intervene and restore peace and normalcy. That Allah will grant them a change of heart to be forgiving and to embrace peace for the rapid development of the area’’ Dr. McKorley who is also a chief in the Northern Region averred further.
