The Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged effective collaboration between Africans and their brothers and sisters in the diaspora.

This according to him will help position the continent of Africa in its rightful place as a partner in global development.

‘’Greater collaboration between the sons and daughters of African descent all over the world would help position the continent to take its rightful place as a partner in global development’’ he said.

The Vice President was speaking when a delegation from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) led by the President and CEO, Mr. Derrick Johnson, called on me at the Jubilee House yesterday, Wednesday December 12, 2018.

He stressed the importance of reconnecting Africans in the diaspora to those on the motherland, in order to tap into the rich human resource base to ensure the advancement and holistic development of Africa and the diaspora.

Mr. Johnson is in Ghana to review preparations for the ‘Year of Return, Ghana 2019’ project, a major landmark spiritual and birth-right journey to mark 400 years of the arrival of the first enslaved Africans in Jamestown, Virginia USA.
