Ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency in the Cenral Region, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has revealed that football officials from Africa and the international community have consistently shown disdain towards Ghanaian Football and sports officials following the number 12 expose by investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

According to him, the situation has degenerated to the point where such officials, particularly referees do not want to even exchange pleasantries with the Ghanaian officials for fear of being tagged.

Mr. Agyapong who was speaking on an Accra based radio station and monitored by BestNewsGH.com noted that on one occasion recently, Ghana’s sports Minister was barred from meeting football officials during the recent African football tournament in the country.

‘’Recently I was with the sport Minister Isaac Asiamah and he told me the Anas’ expose has damaged the country very terribly and that he was prevented from meeting and greeting referees who came to officiate the just ended tournament. That is how bad the situation has gotten to’’ he added.

He said another person, a former NPP Member of Parliament, Kwadjo Baah Agyemang also reported similar attitude of foreign football officials to him, bemoaning the impact of the number 12 Anas expose.
