Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) strongman and Ghana’s former ambassador to the Netherlands Dr. Tony Aidoo says he would not have attended the NDC national delegates conference has it not been an invitation he received from Accra based TV 3 to discuss various topics.
He said the last time he attended an NDC national delegates conference was in 2002 at the same venue where the event is taking place today, the fantasy dome of the Accra International Trade Fair site.
His reason is that, things are not done right in the party and that the status quo has remained for a very long time, adding that he doesn’t see the need to patronize the party’s events.
Dr. Aidoo said the trend permeates all political parties in the country where it is always ‘business as usual’ with party activities.
He said political parties must begin to exhibit some level of maturity and seriousness in the way political party activities are carried out in the country.
