President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has admonished the generality of the Ghanaian people to draw useful lessons from the Menzgold saga and be guided by the experience they have been through in their dealings with the now distressed company.
According to him, Ghanaians must take admonishing and advise from state institutions seriously and must not be swayed into taking decisions that will negatively impact their lives and those of their families.
President Akufo-Addo who was delivering the state of the nation address in parliament yesterday Thursday February 21 2019 said ‘’as the authorities try to unravel the intricacies of what happened, I admonish all Ghanaians to learn the necessary lessons for the future even as the state institutions work to bring resolution to the matter and those who are seen to have indulged in criminal activities are brought to justice’’.
The president for the first time conceded that the Menzgold saga has indeed affected many Ghanaians saying it is a tragic incident that has occurred in plain sight.
