According to information picked by BestNewsGH.com, the development has forced minority leader Haruna Iddrisu to declare his intention to spend sometime in the constituency to solicit for support for the incumbent Member of Parliament Alhassan Sualihu Dandawa who is afraid of losing the seat to the Deputy Minister.

BestNewsGH.com is further informed that the fear of the NDC is further exacerbated by the numerous development projects being implemented by the Deputy Energy Minister which includes the construction of an Astro-turf park, drilling of mechanized boreholes and the launching of an education fund among others.

A source is reported as saying, “this time round the work of the NPP candidate is too much. we have never seen such before, so we will have to work extra hard to win this seat this time”.

Another disclosed, “leader (minority leader) will be here to spend about a week to ensure we win this seat”.

The Entry of Dr. Adam

Prior to the entry of Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, the Karaga seat had been declared a safe seat for the opposition NDC which has won it since its creation in 2004.

Checks by BestNewsGH.com shows that the NPP often lost the seat due to misunderstandings that ensue after each primaries. Losing aspirants who remain disgruntled after the primaries fail to support the winning aspirant which often led to the party losing the seat in the general elections.

This however changed after the 2019 parliamentary primaries which was won by the deputy energy minister who since energized the rank and file of the party with series of activities in the area.

He has embarked on a mechanized borehole drilling exercise where 15 communities are currently benefiting with 17 more left to benefit. He has also announced an Information Communication Technology (ICT) program for teachers in the area where each teacher will receive a laptop to support ICT education.

He is also scheduled to launch the Anta Education Scholarship Fund to support the education of brilliant but needy students in the area to the tertiary level.

Again several communities have been hooked on to the national electricity grid with more to follow soon.
