Opposition Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Isaac Adongo has said government is merely paying lip service to one of its flagship policies, the One District One Factory (1D1F) initiative.

According to him, so far the government has said it has approved about 79 of them to be constructed, adding that not even. Single one of the 79 has been completed.

“Anytime the Minister comes to parliament, it only approval he brings. He has not been able to tell us how many of the factories have been completed and are ready to take off. When says they have approved, then he adds some more grammar that ‘at various stages of completion’. So when are they going finish approving do that the factories will be built for people to see?” He quizzed on Accra based Okay Fm and monitored by BestNewsGH.com

Mr. Adongo said the New Patriotic Party and government has so far failed to pinpoint one single factor under the initiative that has been completed, adding that the rhetoric on the 1D1F initiative is becoming one too many.

He also described as hollow, the government’s 2019 budget and government economic policy statement which was presented by the finance minister on Thursday.
