The Minister Inner Cities and Zongo Development, Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid has assured Dagomba chiefs in Accra that his Ministry will endeavor to channel its resources into improving the lives of the people in the zongos and inner cities through the provision of support for education, adding that education remains fundamental to development and must be pursued at all cost.
The Minister who made the announcement during a meeting with the Dagomba chiefs at the instance of Alhaji Abdul Kadir who is the Dagomba Chief of Accra and also the President of the National Council of Zongo Chiefs, said he would advance the cause of the Zongo and Inner Cities Ministry and for that matter the residents of these areas of the country.
He took time to explain the mandate and objective of the Ministry to the chiefs and their elders and also solicited their support to enable him succeed.
He said the doors of the Ministry are always open and will welcome them for discussions and suggestions aimed at improving the zongos and inner cities.
